What is the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA)?

The VITA Program offers free tax help to low- to moderate-income (generally, $50,000 and below) people. Volunteers are trained by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to prepare basic tax returns. Assistance is available at the Democratic Office and the Hispanic Center in Lebanon and at Lebanon Valley College in Annville. We offer free electronic filing.
You can receive help completing your federal and state income tax returns. Help with the county Earned Income Tax is available for residents of Lebanon County.
You receive the greatest refund or pay the lowest tax by making sure you get all credits and deductions you are eligible to receive: Earned Income Tax Credit, Child Tax Credit, and Credit for the Elderly or the Disabled.
If you will be getting a refund you can get it quicker by having it direct deposited to your bank account.
